Sierra Leone Animal Welfare Society

The Sierra Leone Animal Welfare Society (SLAWS) is a Sierra Leonean not for profit organization based in Freetown Sierra Leone and founded by Dr. Abdul Gudush Jalloh in March 1988. It is registered with the Sierra Leone Ministry of Development and Economic Planning.

Sierra Leone Animal Welfare Society was set up in 1988 and today we have treated thousands of dogs as part of our effort to humanely reduce the overpopulation of stray dogs in Freetown. My dream is to set up a shelter for strays and most important of all to bring out the best in my fellow citizens when it comes to treatment of other species.
